Winter Storm Response and Community Operations Update

Several residents have asked about the recent winter storms and our operations. The following is a brief update.

Storm Response

During the winter season our community experienced several weather events, including a major blizzard and a severe ice storm. These conditions required extended operations to maintain safe roadways and emergency access throughout the community.

Our maintenance and grounds staff worked long hours during these storms. Due to the severity of the weather and the size of our community — 2,692 homes across 825 acres — contractor assistance was used to supplement staff and help clear roads and walkways as quickly and safely as possible.

Snow response costs vary depending on the severity and frequency of winter storms. The priority during these events is maintaining safe conditions and emergency access for residents. A summary of this season’s storm response costs is attached for residents who would like additional information.

Operations

The Association is addressing maintenance backlogs such as stump grinding, gutter cleaning, and other operational tasks that can present safety concerns if left unresolved.

As part of our operational review, we are ensuring certain specialized work complies with State of New Jersey licensing requirements, which may require the use of qualified outside contractors. Management continues to work with the Board of Trustees to evaluate operations and service delivery.

Communication

Residents are encouraged to rely on official Association communications for accurate information. Updates will continue through Association emails, open Board meetings, and the community website.

I am also available to meet with residents each Tuesday evening from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Association office. Please email me to schedule a time if you would like to discuss any questions or concerns.

Thank you to our maintenance and grounds staff for their hard work during these storms and to the many residents who showed patience and support.
