Dear Residents:
This office represents Leisure Village West Association, Inc. (the “Association”). I write to address
an important matter concerning the treatment of the Association’s employees and vendors.
The Association has recently received reports of residents engaging in disrespectful, hostile, and in
some cases verbally abusive conduct toward on-site staff members and service providers. Such
conduct is entirely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The Association’s employees and vendors
perform their duties for the benefit of the entire community. Every individual is entitled to perform
their work in a safe, respectful, and harassment-free environment.
As a reminder, the Association’s Rules and Regulations expressly prohibit disorderly, abusive, or
threatening conduct toward staff, management, contractors, or any person acting on behalf of the
Association. Any resident who engages in such behavior is subject to enforcement action, which may
include written warnings, fines, suspension of privileges, and, if warranted, referral to law enforcement
authorities.
The Board also wishes to remind residents that concerns regarding Association operations,
maintenance, or staff performance must be directed to the Association’s Community Manager or the
Board of Trustees in a professional and courteous manner. Personal confrontations, intimidation, or
harassment of staff members is never appropriate and exposes both the individual and the Association
to significant liability risks.
Please note that the Board takes seriously its legal obligation as an employer to ensure a safe and
respectful workplace for all Association employees. Continued incidents of resident misconduct may
compel the Association to pursue additional legal remedies to protect its employees and uphold this
obligation.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as the Board and management work together to
maintain a positive, respectful, and community-oriented environment for all residents, staff, and
vendors within Leisure Village West.
